New artist talent for KDE
The Oxygen project is an impressive example for the artist skills some people of the KDE project have. Now a newcomer came up to help the Kalzium project and showed his first drawings which are of a high quality.
Some projects have special graphics needs. Especially the KDE games and KDE edu sections have applications which need specific pieces of art. In such cases sometimes one of the Oxygen guys steps up and tries to help, but sometimes other people from “outside” step in. This happened recently with Kalzium which was searching for artists to create an entire iconset for the elements of the periodic table.

[OT] Wishlist Item
Susan,
If Drupal enables you to extend the RSS feed's scope beyond 10 items, that would be a dream. You're too fast for me. While Thunderbird has retention, RSSOwl (I use it for Linux stuff) lets items 'leak' out of view, owing to your posting pace (which is admirable nonetheless).
Will happy if a modification is considered...

Is it just me or has
Is it just me or has tuxmachines been loading a bit slow the last few weeks?

re: Is it just me
Well, several folks have mentioned that it's a bit faster since moving the underlying operating system from gentoo to debian. the 2.6 debian system is performing better than the old 2.4 gentoo did.
But I'm still constrained by the connection speed. And bellsouth tends to have network slowdown problems, at least in the past 6 months or so. It was doing better there for a while, but I noticed it slowed back down again the past 5 or 6 days. I've had users email me traceroutes showing packets merrily hopping along around the net until they hit bellsouth servers - then response times significantly increase.
I've tried affordable hosting, but users reported no significant increase in performance/speed while the site suffered oft occuring downtimes, so until I can afford dedicated hosting, all I can do is apologize.
Yay!
I've just noticed the change (to 30). Thanks a million! You're a star!!
re: Yay
Yeah, sorry, I meant to answer you. Yeah, drupal has the option of up to 30 and I thought that some really busy days I probably do post over 20.
Okay, I'm catching up with
Okay, I'm catching up with comments now. Thanks for the changes. The high pace is an excellent thing. I always end my 'tour' through the feeds with your site, which alllows to 'collect' stories I have missed, as well as blogs that don't receive the attention they deserve. I consider site an invaluable resource. I don't know how you manage to find all that stuff!
