Ubuntu IRC Etiquette
In the past few month I’ve been bothered by the fact that several folks have been asking for help with file sharing in the #ubuntu-nl channel on the freenode IRC network. I think it’s wrong for the Ubuntu community to help people with file sharing, we do not want to associate Ubuntu with a potentialy illegal activity.
Therefore the Ubuntu IRC channels should have a policy that goes something like this:
* If a users asks about a file sharing applications other than the Ubuntu pre-installed GNOME BitTorrent kindly ask them to stop asking.
* If users seems to have a conversation about file sharing gently ask them to move the conversation elsewhere.

re: Ubuntu
Wow, just what Ubuntu needs, a new self appointed "Moral Enforcer" (I wonder if that job comes with a costume, or did he make his own?).
As if there weren't enough reasons already to make fun of Ubuntu and their flock of sudo-users.
//I love all these Ubuntu articles - they provide my daily chuckle now that Foxtrot is only published once a week.
