Linspire: Give Up On Linspire 5.0+?
It's a fair question, I think. Should Linspire give up Linspire 5.0+, contribute time and resources to Freespire (amongst other distribution projects) and concentrate on making Linux services the core aspect of their company?
Even after suggesting time and again that the company team up with one of the few companies selling Linux supported wireless cards for notebooks and desktops, they have yet to make such a move. It's sad, and I would be willing to point them in the right direction should they wish to wake up to this hidden market.
On the flip side, however, they have had much success with their own Linspire services: CNR Free and Gold editions, SurfSafe and even VirusSafe (although some will argue the need for an antivirus running in Linux).
