Mandriva Linux Opens Office in Lagos
As part of its commitment to help bridge the digital divide and make ICT affordable and closer to the people of West Africa, Mandriva Linux, the global editor of Linux distribution has incorporated a subsidiary, Mandriva Linux West Africa Limited with headquarters in Lagos.
This is coming as the Paris-based organisation prepares to introduce its vast range of operating system and open source applications and solutions to financial and allied institutions, energy, oil and gas companies, public organisations, educational institutions, individuals, ISVs and OEMs as well as other forms of businesses in Nigeria’s and West African’s flourishing ICT market next month.
According to the company’s representative for West Africa, Dele Ajisomo, the objective behind the establishment of ICT firm’s office in the sub region
is to ensure the distribution of Mandriva Linux and other integrated Open Source application in English and French Languages throughout the West Africaregion.
