We might actually see a rough Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation beta for Linux soon
It seems Stardock Entertainment are continuing to work on their Linux port of Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation. As a big fan of real-time strategy games, I'm still quite excited to try it out.

Murder mystery adventure 'Lord Winklebottom Investigates' heads to Kickstarter again, gets funding this time
Lord Winklebottom Investigates from UK-based developer Cave Monsters made up of just Charlotte Sutherland sadly failed the first Kickstarter attempt, however it was re-launched and it's now funded.

NVIDIA are continuing to work on PRIME GPU offloading, with a new GLX Extension
In the proposal you can find a draft of the extension spec too. You can also find the WIP (work in progress) merge request here on the xserver GitLab too where Brenneman is hoping for some more feedback as they currently have none sent in reply to their proposal.
This is something that has been a pain point for Linux laptop users for far too long, perhaps there's now finally a light at the end of the tunnel. It certainly would make choosing a laptop a whole lot easier in future if this all works out.

Empires of the Undergrowth adds in Leafcutters in the latest update out now
The creepy-crawly strategy game based on real science, Empires of the Undergrowth, just had the big Leafcutter Update released.
I'm not kidding you, I had a real shiver down my entire body thinking about jumping back into this again. If you're not a fan of ants, bugs and all sorts of things with little legs do look away. However, if you're not a massive wuss like me it's a very interesting game that just got quite a bit bigger.

Multiplayer action-RPG 'Transformice Adventures' coming to Linux later this year
French developer Atelier 801 has recently announced Transformice Adventures, a new multiplayer action-RPG and it's coming to Linux sometime later this year.
Set in the same world as their older MMO title, Transformice, a game which I had never heard of until recently but it seems a lot of people enjoyed it (with over 100 million registered users) so it will be interesting to see if many come back for something a little different. They're saying their special Job system (like RPG classes) will do something a little different, giving you additional ways to influence fights which sounds interesting.

Retro-inspired bloody shooter 'Prodeus' fully funded and coming to Linux
This is awesome news for those who love their shooters, as Prodeus really does look awesome and it's been funded.
Against their original Kickstarter goal of $52,500 they managed to get more than double, which really is impressive, although I'm not surprised. Retro-themed shooters have been having a resurgence lately and I am perfectly okay with this.

Epic looking fantasy RPG 'Edge Of Eternity' still plans a Linux release, not soon though
Edge Of Eternity, an RPG from Midgar Studio entered Early Access last year for Windows, the good news is that they do plan a native Linux version.
I had hoped they were still planning it, considering their successful Kickstarter did claim it would support Linux at the time and that was way back in 2015 so it's been quite a while. Spe

The Pedestrian is a 2.5D side-scrolling puzzle platformer that really does offer something fresh
The Pedestrian is one of the more unusual games that has been emailed in recently, as it's platformer but what it does with the unique setting is quite amusing.
I had never heard of this until my inbox lit up early this morning, turns out The Pedestrian is a Kickstarter campaign I missed back in 2017 so it's been a while now. It was fully funded, with Skookum Arts LLC managing to get a sweet $30K to bring it to life. The campaign did list Linux support on the main page and the FAQ but since it was a while ago, I managed to get up to date confirmation from the developer on Twitter today.
