• RPM future : Per Øyvind Karlsen wondered what could be the future of RPM especially for Mandriva as Mandriva is using RPM 4.4.6 from Jeff Johnson[1]. Anssi Hannula pointed out to the new rpm site[2] as RedHat through Fedora was aiming to give new directions to the RPM projects. The position of Mandriva about this is not known yet.

• OpenOffice.org in 64bits : Olivier LAHAYE was looking for a 64bits version of OpenOffice.org on Cooker or 2007.0 media[1]. Fabrice FACORAT pointed out the fact that OpenOffice.org package for 64bits was named openoffice.org64 to allow the installation of the 32bit version alongside as there was still many issues with the 64bits version. As some packages were missing on the mirrors, Giuseppe Ghibò ( Mandriva OpenOffice.org packager ) give a link to his local version of OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 in 64bits[2]. Guillaume Rousse wondered if this was the best place for theses packages to be as there was a "testing" section in the media to allow to test packages before they reached the "release" section[3]. BTW it should be noted that while Giuseppe have also a link for 32bits version of OpenOffice.org 2.0.4, many translations are missing in his local copy, and Cooker is still stuck at 2.0.3 version while 2.1 is already out.
