  • Intel Linux Driver Gets Fleshed Out For 2.5G Ethernet Controller Support

    Taking shape on a branched version of the Linux kernel is the initial "IGC" driver providing support for Intel 2.5G Ethernet controllers.

    The Intel IGC driver that's in development is supporting the I225-LM/I225-V 2.5G Ethernet adapters in its current stage. I haven't seen much listed on the Intel I225 2.5G Ethernet hardware but lists it as a pre-release product under the "Foxville" codename.

  • Lumina Networks Announced Support for Open Source PCMM on OpenDaylight

    Lumina Networks, an open source startup that provides OpenDaylight-based SDN Controller solutions, announced commercial support for the open source PacketCable multimedia interface (PCMM) on OpenDaylight for cable operators.

    DigiKam 6.0 is now available as the Qt/KDE aligned open-source image organizer and with this new release has full support for video file management too. The DigiKam 6.0 release delivers support for video file management in the same manner as photo management, integration of import/export web-service tools in LightTable and Showfoto, expanded RAW image handling for more digital cameras, new tools for exporting to Pinterest / OneDrive / Box, and the ability to re-organize the icon-view contents manually.
