Red Hat Makes Case for Cloud Native Virtualization
Red Hat is taking an effort to encapsulate virtual machines with containers to the next level by making available a developer preview that provides access to an implementation of the open source KubeVirt project.
Stephen Gordon, principal product manager for container-native virtualization (CNV) at Red Hat, says KubeVirt is an example of CNV technology that will make it simpler for some organizations to move legacy applications into the cloud.

Gurunavi deploys Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform for operational efficiency, driving greater business value
Red Hat Inc., provider of open source solutions, announced this week that Gurunavi, Japan’s restaurant guide, has adopted Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Powered by OpenShift, Gurunavi aims to build a stronger and more flexible software infrastructure, develop this infrastructure on a private cloud using Kubernetes, and further improve service development capabilities in order to help accelerate the creation of new business and expansion of its existing business.
Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform provides a flexible Kubernetes-based application infrastructure. It can strengthen collaboration between developers and the IT department around a single platform, enabling more consistent application creation, deployment and management among hybrid cloud infrastructure, and enabling provisioning of applications under shorter development cycles and at higher efficiency.
