Ubuntu Feisty Fawn : Release Dates
The excitement of Edgy is over. Now its time to mark down the dates on your calendar for the next Ubuntu release - Ubuntu 7.104 Feisty Fawn. After Edgy’s shortened catchup release cycle, Feisty is a return to the normal 6 month development period from November ‘06 to April ‘07.
If the comments posted by Mark Shuttleworth on the Ubuntu-Devel mailing list are anything to go by, Feisty is going to be a polished release. Edgy Eft was a release primarily geared at tweaking the inner machinery and making under-the-hood changes, but this release will be a little more focused on features that are very visible to end-users such as Multimedia enablement and desktop effects to name a few.
